Thinking of Uncle Chris today. I will always remember him as a man of great passion - often the loudest in the room, he did nothing by half measure. No man has ever eaten a big meal quicker either, haha! An incredibly intelligent and thoughtful man, both funny and creative. I hear at school he was one of those annoying people who are good at everything, from sport to science. Wasn’t he also one of the top people working in his field whilst at BA? Incredible. He shared our family love of Pink Floyd, and I’ll be listening to Dark Side of the Moon today, and I’m grateful I was able to see him on my 30th birthday. I am sad that his mental health suffered so much in recent years; I hope that now he has found peace.

I met Chris through his then wife Steph, who I worked with in the UK. A quiet intelligent man who was always interested in what others spoke of. His love of music always shone through, sometimes tapping his foot and humming even with no music playing! I met him again many years later, this time in Vegas during a reunion with Steph after a 14 year gap. I bought him a simple gift of his favourite English gravy powder and he was touched and thanked me as if I had handed him a million dollars. We sat for ages, talking in his intelligent level, as always, about all sorts. A flowing intellectual and wonderful discussion I enjoyed immensely. Our loss is heavens gain. Rest in peace. God bless 🙏
